Just Like That… First Ever — Fit With Luwame Challenge Is Over

November 1st marked an important day on my healthy living journey along with the 29 other people that decided to join the first ever Fit with Luwame Challenge. 

I can’t believe that was a month ago. It always amazes me how fast time flies when you're doing what you love.

The reason I started this challenge was because like so many people these days, I live a busy life: work, children, marriage, my social life (the small one that exists), my kids’ social life and everything else that’s going on, working out and eating healthy can easily get ignored. It took me a while to understand that I will never have time for myself unless I create it. That’s the mentality I want to create for others now and guide them in the right direction. Show them that Healthy Living isn’t something you can do for a day or two, a week or even a couple of months. It’s a lifestyle change that betters your life for the long run. I saw first hand what the effects of my journey did for my life and I am a much happier person today because of it, so I want this life for everyone. This is why I became a health and wellness coach and why I combined forces with some amazing health and nutrition coaches at Herbalife to bring you the first ever Fit with Luwame Challenge. 

Herbalife is a global nutrition company that assists folks in achieving healthy, active lives. They provide shakes, meal plans, workout groups, and so much more. What I love the most is that it’s a community full of like-minded people that will push you to your limits which is what you need when you first start your journey.

Our journey together started a month ago, but it doesn’t end with the challenge. I hope everyone that joined felt as though together we created a lifestyle change that will change our lives for the better because that’s exactly how I feel. Our challenge provided a community of supporters and motivators. We shared workout and meal ideas, sent pictures of what we were eating and kept on top of each other. We offered various protein shakes as an option for our participants to purchase and those that followed the shake plan loved how easy it was to maintain consistent and prep the shakes. Those that did not purchase the plan still benefited from our program because there was information that we could all use for different workouts and meal ideas. Everyone in the group was at a different fitness level, and that’s what made our group so unique. We learned from each other, motivated and inspired one another.

There is so much more I wish I could have done with it like videos of my workouts, specific meal prep plans, workout camps for our participants but this is only my first one (wink wink). I didn’t meet the goals I set for myself but I did manage to lose 2 pounds and I can see some of my abs coming back to life (I know you’re in there buddy… feel free to come on out any day now) LOL.

I can’t wait to do another fitness challenge as soon as the holidays are over. It will be the perfect start to 2018. Hope you all can join us.
